Why Nutrition Is So Important For A Healthy Lifestyle? Nutrition And Health

As we all know that for a healthy body  and lifestyle we need a proper nutrition.Their has been many books written in that topic' Nutrition And Health'. We need to go deeper into it.The question arises why nutrition is so much important for our body?


Nutrition And Health
If we take a healthy nutritious diet then:
•IT PROVIDES ENERGY TO OUR BODY
•HELPS BODY TO FIGHT AGAINST MANY DISEASES.
•FOR A PROPER GROWTH OF BODY AND TO MAINTAIN GOOD HEALTH.

There are three main nutrients:
1. Carbohydrates
2. Fats
3. Proteins
There are also other nutrients Vitamins & Minerals.

 1.Carbohydrates
It consists of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen.
Foods that are highly rich in carbohydrates.

- Bran, oatmeal, rice, cereals.
- Starch vegetables, legumes, beans, potatoes.
- Orange, apple, banana.
- Cookies.

2.Fats 
It gives to your body energy.
Consumption of high amount of fats also harmful for our body.
Here are some healthy fats food.
- Eggs, butter, tofu, nuts, cheese.
- Fish, vegetable oil, dairy products.

3.Proteins
Food containing proteins are called body building foods. These are composed of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen,and sulphur.
Proteins is important for the growth and muscles strength.
Proteins rich foods:
- Yogurt, milk, egg, tofu, cheese.
- Peanut butter, soybean, broccoli,corn.
- Meat.

Vitamins

Vitamins are naturally occurring essential organic constitutents of the diet which, in minute amount, aid in maintaining the normal activities of the tissues.
Vitamins help in protecting our body against diseases.
Vitamin -A
It plays a role in the construction of normal bones and teeth.
The rich source of vitamin -A are 
•Whole milk, egg yolk, Cod-liver oil, and liver of other animals.

Vitamin -D
It regulates the proper growth of the bones. It promotes mineralisation of the skeleton in adults.
The chief sources of vitamin-D are fish liver oils,egg yolk, yeast and mushrooms.
Vitamin- E
It controls the oxygen uptake of muscle and body fat. It also prevents the liver injury injury.
The sources are peanut oil, cotton seed oil,animal fats,milk of cow.
Vitamin- K
 It present chiefly in green leafy vegetables.
Spinach, cauliflower, tomatoes, cabbage, rice bran.

Vitamin-C
 It helps to boost immunity of our body.
The citrus fruits and tomatoes are the best sources of vitamin C.
Green peas, peppers, Oranges, lime, grapefruits, strawberries etc.

There is also a group of vitamins called Vitamin B-complex.

Minerals
 Minerals are needed by our body in small amounts.Each one is essential for proper growth of body and to maintain good health.
Major minerals of our body is potassium, magnesium, calcium, sodium & phosphorus.
Nutrition and health both are important in their own way. We can't skip healthy nutritious meals because if we skip that healthy meal we can't able to get a good health for long term. I hope you understand the importance of nutrition and health both.
